3 Things Everybody Should Know about Money - Rich Dad Poor Dad
I’m sure you’ve noticed that the wealthy people around you don’t usually have normal jobs. Which is weird because ever since you were a child you were probably told that you should get an education, and get a job so that you’ll have a good and secure future. And while it’s true that if you take this route you’ll have a high chance to get a secure job, it comes with a mediocre salary.

Great example of the little girl and the frustrated mother. I experienced this as a little boy in church, they book said to ‘lift up your voice and sing unto the Lord’ so I did and my voice was loud! The pastor came to me and said not to sing so loudly, I was confused or embarrassed by that and I thought I sang poorly, but imagine if the other members of the church took a cue from this little boy and everybody lifted up their voices, could you imagine the song being sung with such vigor?

People make assumptions of me all the time and they are completely wrong They assume tho Because they know little about you or a,situation so they are guessing Always ask if your unsure Don't guess your wrong 100% of the time I have seen people ruin friendships and relationships with me and others because they assume too much Like be humble and enjoy life U no nothing until someone tells u. So wait until they do

I don't like the mentality that we shouldn't assume. It is incomplete logic to just say that and just be done with it. We assume a lot of things in life, especially when evaluating things that are technical/medical/scientific/etc.. Assumptions are ways of learning and predicting outcomes, which is an essential skill and can often be a self-preservation mechanism. The lesson should be that we shouldn't jump to unsubstantiated harmful prejudices about others. Personally, I find this is a much better way of looking at interactions with others.

Is the "Final Offer" advice actually reasonable? I cannot imagine negotiating an engineering salary and throwing out a ridiculous number like $87321. The hiring manager would look at me weird and I feel like that's a waste of my time and disrespectful of my own. I care about the extra $321, but on some level we have to say it's not worth it.

I think so, it shows that you've gone ahead and actually calculated what you're worth. I'm a VFX artist and I have a dayrate and every year I multiply that dayrate with inflation which results in weird numbers like $515.23 or whatever. Should'nt matter, it's just a number.

One critical part of the high anchor is to set a range using odd numbers. So instead just throwing out $62500 suggest that in similar roles, other companies pay between $62500 and $67355. Use that odd numbering again to solidify that the number has been calculated not just drawn out of thin air. adding a high end to the range repels your counterpart but makes that first number more attractive. You never know, your counterpart may agree to that first one!
